As an H&J Martin Apprentice, you will fully commit to the off-the-job training (college) requirements of the post alongside your normal day-to-day job and you should strive to achieve the relevant qualifications that will enable you to demonstrate high levels of competence in your role.

Key Tasks:
The following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
Attendance to relevant courses, working with tutors, HJM management and other sources within the business to successful completion.
Learn the company systems, how they work, how data is inputted and how you can retrieve data from information management system for reporting.
Gaining knowledge of how our Minor Works Team & NI Operations work and input to delivery with our clients
Work with the Project Managers to gain knowledge and understanding project delivery and provide support across a wide range of systems and IT packages.
Assist with KPI reporting and formulating contract reports
To review and learn the company processes for Minor Works
Assist in ensuring adherence to contract timelines and requirements
Ensure timely receipt of all costs and supporting documents from internal and external resources
Building strong working relationship with our supply chain
Auditing of supply chain partners costs and paperwork
Aid in compiling of Health and Safety Documentation for projects.
Collation of information from our operatives for management reporting
Key Competencies:
Communication – Must possess the ability to be able to communicate effectively both oral and written with staff.
IT skills – Must possess strong IT skills across standard software packages.
Teamwork – Must demonstrate the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues across a wide range of levels and responsibilities.
Flexibility and Initiative – Must demonstrate a positive, flexible and self-motivated attitude towards this role and development including drive to successfully complete training
Work Completion – Must display the drive and determination to complete work effectively and on time.
