Job Description

The starting annual base salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's age and experience.

The successful candidate will form part of the business support team within the Northstone Materials head office at Croaghan Quarry, Coleraine.

The apprentice will assist the People & Development Team to deliver their programme within the business. They will be mentored by an experienced member of the team. Typical duties include:

  • Issue and collate employee training evaluation forms

  • Issue internal training certificates

  • Organise, arrange and coordinate meetings and events

  • Assist in the maintenance of training matrices

  • Collate data for reporting purposes

  • Assist in the delivery of our Wellbeing programme

  • Administration duties as required

Person Specification

Full Training & Development in support of the apprenticeship will be offered to the successful candidate who must be able to fulfill the below requirements:

Description

The apprenticeship in business administration at level three offers work-based skills development for those interested in progressing their career in administration further with an industry-recognised qualification. Entry Criteria

To eligible for the apprenticeship in business administration at level 3, you must be employed or be about to take up paid employment as an apprentice with a Northern Ireland based company for a minimum of 21 hours per week. 

The apprenticeship in business administration is open to those aged 16 -24 years who have attained the minimum school leaving age in Northern Ireland.

Description

This apprenticeship is suitable for a new employee, or an existing employee taking on new responsibilities or moving to a different role in an administrative setting, who is working at a supervisory level and needs to advance their competency & knowledge in administration.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship is delivered on an ongoing basis so the apprentice can start them at any time on our current classes. 

Apprenticeships last approximately 12-18 months. Learners will attend class either in their workplace or in Network Personnel Offices.

The employer will receive a £538 bonus for each employee who completes the qualification.

Entry Criteria

Participants who do not hold English, Maths and/or ICT GCSE grade C or above will be required to complete an additional Essential Skills element as part of this framework.

Eligibility criteria for Apprenticeships:

  • All Ages (16+)

  • Working a minimum of 21 hours per week  (not in education or training) which includes their time to attend class

  • Allowed to attend class for 6 hours per month (we divide this into 1 x 3 hour session every 2 weeks) during working hours which they must be paid for. These are currently being delivered remotely through Microsoft Teams, so apprentices can join classes from home or work.
