The aim of the Apprenticeship Scheme is to set you on the path to Contract Management with the support of our dedicated supervisors, who provide mentorship and career coaching throughout your programme.
As a building services contract manager, you will collaborate with the site project team to ensure that all mechanical or electrical aspects of building services are designed, managed and installed correctly, ensuring the building is fully operational and delivered to the relevant standards, guidelines and specifications.
Combining both site experience and secondments to our commercial departments, you’ll work on a range of projects to support your growth and understanding of the industry – completing your apprenticeship with a degree level qualification and the relevant practical experience to further your career with Dowds Group.
Please note that while our head office is currently in Ballymoney but we are moving to a new Ballymena Head Quarters in Spring 2023 which will be the office base for all 2023 opportunities!
Salary stated is a baseline - actual salary will be dependent on age and experience.
Person Specification
Essential Skills / Spec:
A-levels (A-C) or relevant Level 3 qualification
A genuine interest in building a career in Building Services Contract Management (mechanical or electrical bias)
Excellent communication skills
Good level of knowledge of Microsoft packages.
While we have stipulated the HNC L4 Construction & The Built Environment (Building Services) course as part of this apprenticeship, we are aware that there is only one location in NI currently offering the course - we would be open to alternative courses as long as the content was applicable to the role and will be flexible in our approach to accommodating anyone willing to travel for the course.
