Taylor & Boyd is a Consulting Structural and Civil Engineering practice based in Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Letterkenny. The practice was founded in 1962 by chartered engineers who wanted to combine the best traditional and contemporary practice with innovation and over the 61 years of our existence, we have been involved in more than 20000 projects throughout Northern Ireland and beyond. With a staff of 35, Taylor & Boyd is one of the largest privately-owned structural / civil engineering consultancy firms in Northern Ireland, resourced for, and aspiring to, providing the quality service that best meets clients’ requirements.

We design structural and civil engineering elements within building projects and associated infrastructure in Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. We work closely with other construction disciplines (architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, quantity surveyors, building/civil engineering contractors) to deliver these projects. We produce engineering calculations, drawings and specifications, which allow our designs to be constructed.
