ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP |3 YEAR APPRENTICESHIP STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2024 | Derrylin, Co Fermanagh|

Ready to start your career? We are recruiting for Engineering Apprentices to join the team.

If you are looking to start your career in a fast paced & innovative business where every day brings new exciting, rewarding and sometimes unexpected challenges then this apprenticeship provides you with a fantastic opportunity to become an Electrical Engineer by developing your skills whilst gaining an Engineering qualification.

 Working within the engineering department you will gain on the job training and experience through the apprenticeship programme and monitored professional development which leads to a Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and additional opportunity to progress onto a Level 5 qualification.

Work Pattern 08.00 to 17.00 Mon to Thurs, Fri 08.00 to 15.15 You will attend South West College one day a week and spend the other days on site.

 Salary: Year 1 £17,725.21 - £8.60 per hour  

Year 2 dependant on age £17,725.21 - £8.60 per hour (18-20 years old) £23,578.65 - £11.44 per hour (21 and over).

 Additional Payments £250 on completion of apprenticeship programme, £250 on attainment of new permanent role at Encirc & £250 on successfully passing probation.

Progression Pathway

Engineering (Level 3)South West College

Description

The Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship will provide learners with a range of technical skills and knowledge enabling them to either gain employment or progress into further training within the Manufacturing or Maintenance Engineering sector. Although learners are likely to have already completed a Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, they can progress directly into the Level 3 qualification.

The qualification includes mandatory and optional units, allowing learners to specialise in one of a number of engineering disciplines. Those available at South West College include Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Welding and Fabrication, and Maintenance, Installation and Commissioning.

Modules

The following pathways are available on the Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme:

1. Maintenance Engineering

  • Maintenance technology

  • Hydraulics, pneumatics

  • Electrical Maintenance

  • PLC programming)

2. Fabrication and Welding

  • MIG and MMA welding (with Coded welding options)

  • Producing Plate work assemblies

Assessment:

Entry Criteria

All candidates will require a participating employer.

Candidates will usually require a related Level 2 qualification and Essential Skills Numeracy and Literacy at Level 1 or above.

Adult entrants will be considered if they have appropriate prior learning and experience.

You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or Level 2 Essential Skills in English, Maths and Information Technology. Optional units can be undertaken to support the pathway chosen and company/job requirements.
