Job Description


We are seeking an apprentice Electrical Roller Shutter Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialise in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical roller shutter systems for commercial and residential properties. The Electrical Roller Shutter Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and safety of roller shutter systems equipped with electrical components.

Person Specification


  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Experience with electrical installations, wiring, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Description

This programme enables employees to undertake a BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering . The programme is delivered part time day release over two years and the full HNC programme includes 8 units. This programme will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills and incorporates a range of IT applications, industry standard software and simulation packages. Assessment is 100% coursework.

Progression Pathway

Further Study

If pathways to HLA level 5 HND studies exist then participants may wish to consider continuing their progression as a Higher Level Apprentice. Successful completion of the Higher National Diploma with appropriate grades may enable progression to Year 2 BEng (Hons) degree pathway of related degree at Ulster University or similar degrees at other universities.
