Meg completed her GCSEs at Bloomfield Collegiate School and enjoyed subjects like Maths and Physics, selecting subjects based on her interests and natural problem-solving strengths.

A-Levels
Meg studied Maths, Physics and P.E. for her A-levels. During Sixth Form, sport remained a central part of her life alongside her studies, and she captained a couple of school teams, an experience she credits with building her confidence as a leader.

Next steps after school
Meg studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Queen's University, inspired by her physics teacher who spotted her potential and pointed her towards the field, a decision she's glad she made.

Wider student life
During university, Meg played hockey for Queen's, making lifelong friends along the way, even doing some travelling with them after graduating. She'd encourage anyone to join a club, even if it feels daunting at first.

Finding work
Meg completed a placement year, which helped her discover the direction she wanted to take in electrical engineering, ultimately leading her to her graduate role at H&MV.

Working at H&MV
Meg works as a graduate electrical engineer at H&MV, designing and amending diagrams for substations and working on projects including wind farms and solar farms, with the added bonus of occasional site visits.
